p.s.

tamir, these posts are dedicated to you! ;-) i'm back on the internet.

oh ya one more thing...

So yesterday was valentine's day and I was thinking, what was I doing last year? I was on my mission of course and that day Cory and Jimmy were in Utah and scheduled a tour with me! I remembered we took a picture together. Today I was looking at pictures my mom took yesterday (my cutsie niece was blessed yesterday so we were all in Tracy for the day with Cory and Kristal's family). Cory and Jimmy and I randomly took a picture together yesterday too! So I had to combine them. What are the chances?

i've been absent from my blog

there goes my high hopes of this being a good journal! Well, I've been super busy! School is crazy. I do not remember my byu-i being like this. Although, I wasn't working nearly as much or taking as long to actually get to school...but I do love my 48 minute BART rides. I look forward to them actually. It's my time to just relax, except lately I've been having to use it to study or finish up homework. The ride home is always nice though. I used to feel somewhat uncomfortable falling asleep on BART, but definitely not anymore. I take full advantage. I just have to be careful when I do that on the way to school, don't want another incident of almost sleeping through my stop!

I don't even know where to start. I was supposed to post so many hilarious things on here that has happened lately, funny things that my mom has been doing like a video of her defining making out, a story about her learning about what a full body massage intails (hahahahaha jimmy was there), and seems like so much more that I just cannot remember. I'll try and post more often when funny things happen!

So Los Angeles or San Franciso??? I tend to get ideas in my head and then can't stop thinking about them. That's kind of what happened when I decided to go on a mission. When I decided to go to FIDM. Deciding I want to move to New York City when I graduate. And now just recently, possibly transferring to LA campus....I can't get it outta my head! What do I do? I really would be up for a new adventure like that, but it's a little (a lot) unrealistic. Too much money to live there. Boo. Oh well. It will still be in my head for who knows how long. Maybe I will move there instead of New York after graduation.

So lately I'm addicted to these :
delicious.

Work is going pretty well. I just got certified to teach Gravity. It's kind of like Pilates Reformer. I can teach groups or individuals.
Here's what it looks like!

So anyway. Hopefully that'll help me get more clients! That will help me get rid of the dreaded fitness attendent shifts! They're actually not to bad and do provide a steady income, but I volunteered to do tues/thurs 6-9 am shifts for some crazy reason. Speaking of which, I have that tomorrow! aahhhh...I need to sleep. My sleep schedule's all kind of mixed up because I've been staying up really late the last several days and getting up early...except today was a holiday and I got to sleep in for the first time in soooo long. It was glorious and hence the reason I can't sleep right now.

I feel  like this entry is me just rambling on about randomness so I will end it and stop distracting myself from sleeping. Speaking of distractions, I discovered my webcam last week....big distraction.

yesterday i called my client fat...

...it was an accident! I actually had meant to say fit! Luckily it was a guy and he was quite hilarious and we both just started laughing at my mix up of words. Yesterday was pretty busy but mostly I was just tired from the week and just wanted to go home and eat, so this kind of brought some humor to my day. I was just contemplating on my way home how sometimes when I get really busy, etc. sometime I forget to just have fun and laugh and make light of situations. I'm not horrible about it, but definitely something I would like to improve on. Sister Hinckley said that President Gordon B. Hinckley's positive and happy attitude got them through difficult trials in their lives. Life was not always easy, but he was able to find joy, humor, and a positive outlook on it all. I really look up to that and believe that if you have the right attitude you will be so much happier and enjoy life more. You will be able to endure hard times better and burn some calories laughing! ;-)

Anyway, this week was hectic. As mom commented on my previous blog, that this is a nice way to know what's going on with my life! Kind of sad, but true! I feel like sometimes I'm only at home to sleep! Work and school are definitely keeping me busy. It's good though. I like to be busy.

I have a new goal of not procrastinating! Thursday night I worked until about 11 pm. Got home around 11:30...kind of dilly-dallied....then realized I better finish my homework! I tried to do it earlier in the day and did some, but it was my mom's birthday and we went to lunch! Well worth it. Family first! Anyway, I stayed up until about 2:30 am and had to wake up at 6 am. I still had a lot of reading to do so I did some speed reading on BART and then on my lunch break. It all worked out okay, but I was pooped that day! My afternoon teacher is very soft spoken and has a monotone voice, so I was struggling! I took a nice nap on BART though.

In other exciting news, mom had a birthday! I forgot to post these last week, but she had a little trip to the urgent care last week--way to start off the new year right! ;-) hehe, she was joking about this and so we had to take some pictures. She is okay now by the way!

With all the work and school I'm managing time for play...here's a picture from my friend Willy's goodbye party last night!

first day of school!

So as I am using this blog kind of like a journal, I have to write about my first official school day at FIDM! I LOVED it!!! I just felt so happy the whole day! I worked late Thursday night and was so excited for school the next day, I couldn't sleep right away! I woke up early to make sure I would get on BART ontime. So, I was pretty sleepy, but excited. As soon as I settled onto BART, turned my i-pod on, closed my eyes, I was out cold. The next thing I knew I woke up b/c they guy next to me got up. I thought we were at Embarcadero station and I almost didn't even look out the window to make sure because I was still in sleepy/groggy mode. Luckily I did and saw that it was Powell! I jumped off and ran off the train! I couldn't believe I was so close to missing my stop! How horrible and embarrassing would that have been! haha...anyway, I was still pretty groggy but went up to class. I made friends with some of the girls in my program during orientation and so it was nice to have familiar faces in class. I went to Textile Science first. Cory was joking about this class the day before and asked if we were going to put fabric in test tubes and burn them or something. We had a good laugh about that actually. I laughed out loud when my teacher informed us that we will be burning fabric! haha...I wish Cory had been there to join in on that moment.

My second class was Marketing and Brand Development. I enjoyed it but am a little worried about my instructor's monotone and soft spoken voice in a Friday afternoon class. I was getting pretty sleepy. It was good though. Tomorrow I have 2 classes--Product Development Fundamentals and Apparel Processes I. Exciting! I can tell I'm going to be super busy with homework and class and work, but it will be worth it! And it should be fun too. If it isn't fun, then I'm doing something wrong.

In other news, I finally got one of my clients to do a squat properly...still working on his wife to be able to do a crunch. In her mind, the surgery she had a year ago--a tummy tuck--is preventing her from doing too much exercise. hehehe...she's getting better though...slowly but surely. ;-)
